SS "Takapuna" arriving at Onehunga at the conclusion of her delivery voyage from Barrow-in-Furness, England. She commenced the first steamer express service in Australasia on 19 November 1883, a regular passenger service which linked Onehunga, New Plymouth, Wellington and Lyttelton.
