As we know, the good ship "Westport" sailed from Onehunga for the final time at 1105 on 21 September, under her new name, "Fjordvik". What followed was quite a lengthy voyage, with only two pit-stops en route!
New Plymouth: arrived 0150 22 Sep; departed 1348 22 Sep.
Papeete, Tahiti: arrived 0811 2 Oct; departed 1537 2 Oct.
Balboa anchorage, Panama: arrived 0004, 21 Oct; departed 1158, 22 Oct.
Sailed through the Panama Canal on 22 Oct, and on into the Atlantic.
Gdynia anchorage, Poland: arrived 1024, 13 Nov; departed 1815, 14 Nov.
She berthed in Gdynia, Poland at 2034 on 14 November, and within days entered the Nauta Ship Repair Yard drydock in Gdynia, where she was given a thorough going-over and a fresh paint job before moving to the adjacent berth where further survey and repair work was conducted.
Thanks to Marcin Biel and the team at Navigum Marine Technical Service for supplying these photos of "Fjordvik" in dock and alongside at Gdynia, prior to going into service late in 2016 for new owners, SMT Shipping.
