Marta

Congratulations on making history tonight. How much does it mean to you to be responsible for rewriting history?

Thankyou. It's a great honour for me. It's a great honour to be able to play such a great game. I hope that, going forward, we can build on the momentum from today's game for the rest of the championships.

Of the fifteen goals you've scored in FIFA Women's World Cup Finals so far, which one gives you most pleasure?

All the goals have such great importance. It really depends on the situation, the actual moment in time that it's happening. It's hard to choose one.

You've had a chance to watch most of the teams in the tournament so far. Apart from Brazil, which teams have stood out for you so far?

I wasn't very surprised with the outcome of Germany's game because they are so superior in their group, but I was surprised by Nigeria's result. It was such a good game, such a tight game, and they were able to tie it with Sweden.

Moving forward, there are such big teams that we also know that will be very important and have that power to impress, but Nigeria may well be a team to look out for moving forward in the competition.

You're a team-mate of New Zealand's Ali Riley at Rosengard. Any words of encouragement for the Football Ferns ahead of their game against Canada?

It was unfortunate that they lost their first match, but I have a lot of admiration for Ali. I can't say I'm going to cheer for one team over the other, but I hope they do equally as well during the tournament.
