From Ted Scott
I came across professional photographer Ted Scott's work in a Bob Harvey-edited publication, "Untamed Coast".
Contained within were a couple of cracking photos which I was very keen to put on this site, because they captured
the essence of what this entire project is about - the ships and trawlers which have served Onehunga over the years.
I got in contact with Ted, and for a suitable koha, he agreed to provide me with a plethora of shots from his portfolio.
There are more to come, but as you can see below from his initial submissions, he's
taken some gems, and restored some others from days gone by. Many thanks, Ted.
Milburn Carrier II as seen through Ninepin Rock. Note the fishermen on same, under the lifeboat.

A classic early 1900s scene at Onehunga Wharf, with rail freight and coal vans competing for space with passengers and by-standers. The detail in this restoration is remarkable.
