The photo opposite is the very first shot of the Port of Onehunga taken under the stewardship of the Auckland Harbour Board. The date is 22 July 1913, and the ships in port are the Northern Steam Ship Company vessel "Rimu", which has just arrived, and the obscured "Corinna".

Another angle of a scene which features elsewhere on the site, this time showing off the sheer size of the Manukau Harbour, including Puketutu Island.
The ships in port are "Tawanui", "Awanui" casting off, "Mamaku" outside "Holmdale" and "Wellington Exporter", and the dredge "Wanganui" is at anchor across from the wharf on 1 December 1970.

A cracking August 1978 shot of Onehunga, featuring the new fishing wharf, a couple of Sanford's finest, "San Susan" and "San Jennifer", berthed in the fishing basin, painting work taking place on the 750 ton cement silos, and "La Bonita" and "Titoki" working their respective cargoes with assistance from some dockside cranes.
