Built in Aukra, she is powered by one 3240hp Alco diesel, producing a service speed of 14 knots.
Ice strengthened, she can carry 94 TEU, and she has two 30 tonne derricks and two 10 tonne derricks.
Began a ten-voyage service to the Chatham Islands from Napier in May 1997, under charter to the Chatham Islands Shipping Services Ltd. This service concluded at the end of March 1998.
The photo above was taken in Bluff, nine days before her only visit to Onehunga. She reverted to her original name, "Hirma", in April 1998.
After taking on 500 metric tonnes of water while on a voyage from Mombasa to Dubai for scheduled repairs, she sunk off Somali's southern coast on 2 January, 2005, with the loss of her Australian master and a Kenyan crewman. There were five survivors.
