Built in Husum, Germany, she is powered by one 1999hp Stork-Werkspoor diesel, producing a service speed of 13 knots.
She has two 20 tonne derricks and two 5 tonne derricks.
It was planned to use "Lautoka" as her name while on charter, and she arrived at Onehunga from Launceston sporting that name on her hull. But its use was turned down by the authorities in Fiji, so "Adi Viti" became the chosen name, with the change made before her initial departure.
Boasted an annual throughput of 1870 containers, carrying an average of 110 units per voyage while operating Reef Shipping's Fijian service - she was on charter for a year, and after leaving Onehunga for the final time was laid up at Suva.
Has served a variety of owners since, and was last reported operating in Indonesian waters in 2011, but has since gone to the breaking yards.
