Built in Hamburg, she was a Siesta Type 13 reefer, and was powered by one 1600hp Deutz diesel engine, producing a service speed of 14 knots.
Acquired for the NZ Export Shipping Line in 1968, she operated a three-weekly service to New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, in tandem with "Wellington Exporter". Unfortunately the service proved short-lived.
She subsequently changed hands on a few occasions, Dutch and Cypriot owners the beneficiaries, before being broken up in Perama, January 1987.
